		<description>I agree with you Sylvia, about the pre-holiday cut back being a worth while job.  It really does mean that you come back to a crop of new flowers and fresh growth.  There is not much you can do about the lawn, however, which seems to grow a mile a minute as soon as my back is turned. Mind you, as soon as I mow when I get home, a sense of calm and order is restored to the whole garden, I find.</description>

		<description>I admire you, dodging the showers on Saturday but Sunday was a much nicer day.  I haven&#039;t performed my &#039;Chelsea chop&#039; yet but will this week.  As I am away on holiday for the first two weeks of June, I will cut a few more things back to re-flower when I am home again.

Interested in cutting the leaves of hollyhocks, a plant I don&#039;t grow very often because it gets so ugly but I might give it another go and follow your advice.  I have just the position for a lovely dark flowered, tall hollyhock!
